Bright Spark Strategies is seeking a dynamic and driven Fundraising Associate to support the planning and execution of innovative fundraising strategies for a range of clients. This role is ideal for someone who understands both people and the causes they support, and who is ready to apply the latest fundraising and community engagement strategies to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth research on prospective donors
Develop compelling fundraising messages tailored to specific audiences
Execute fundraising campaigns for political and non-political clients
Identify, connect with, and build relationships with potential donors
Plan and coordinate fundraising events
Track and manage donor information for long-term relationship cultivation
Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of fundraising efforts
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory fundraising requirements
Use CRM platforms and donor databases to manage stakeholder engagement
Support client prospecting and outreach
Maintain compliance with MERTS/MiTN software
Draft persuasive donor solicitations and fundraising materials
Assist with graphic design and marketing projects as needed
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience or interest in fundraising, community development, or nonprofit/political work
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Familiarity with a variety of fundraising techniques and donor engagement strategies
Comfort collaborating with internal teams, including the Finance and Political Directors
Proficiency in fundraising software and data management platforms is a plus
Experience with MERTS/MiTN reporting tools preferred but not required
Familiarity with Canva, InDesign or other graphic design software
